If you’ve had the blessing of seeing Tenth Avenue North live in concert, you’ll agree that a big part of the band’s “presentation” is the powerful messages from their lead singer, Mike Donehey. Since the band’s formation in 2000, Mike has head a burden in his heart and a bully pulpit beneath his feet to proclaim the truths of scripture and to get right to the core of the matter of church culture today.
It seems only logical (I’m sure he’s been told this 1,000 times) that Mike write these profound devotional thoughts down and bind them into a collection. Well, it appears that Mike was listening.
On the band’s Instagram, Mike Donehey announced that he would be coming out with his first book. Titled, “Finding God's Life for My Will: His Presence Is the Plan”, the work released August 6th.
The publisher had this to say about “Finding God’s Life for My Will”:
This book inspires readers to walk in daily obedience, discover what it means to pray unceasingly, and see God as the plan, not simply the formula to the plan. Mike effectively connects Scripture to these concepts, putting a unique spin on often-abused and oversimplified biblical truths. He places his signature take on sensitive issues such as shame, secrets, and guilt, while equally addressing heartfelt answers like confession, intimacy, and hope.
While covering some very serious topics, Mike, well known for his winsome on-and-offstage humor, keeps the reader laughing throughout the entire book.
